Crimson Interactive wins ‘National Best Employer Brand Award’ at the 30th HRD Congress
Crimson Interactive, a global company offering multiple technology-driven publication and communications solutions, was awarded the Best Employer Brand Award at the 30th HRD Congress.
At this year’s HRD Congress, the focus was on recognising the brands that focussed on the primary spirit of humankind, i.e. ‘evolution’. The HRD Congress wanted to felicitate those companies which put up a brave front in the face of all the adversities that the pandemic brought with it, and adjusted themselves to evolve with the calamity. The Congress wanted to award companies that tailored their ‘best practices’ to make them more employee-focussed during these tough times.
Crimson Interactive had previously won the award for ‘Asia’s Best Employer’ from the same organisation; this event recognised them again at a national level. The organisation cited the following reasons for dedicating this award to Crimson: Apart from a balanced male: female ratio (54:46), the Company has also employed gender-neutral policies (including policies for the LGBTQ+ communities). There are numerous employee engagement activities like annual awards night, employee recognition and intra-organisation knowledge sharing programmes. Employees’ professional development is ensured through initiatives like T-square which rewards talented and long-tenured employees with Stock Appreciation Rights and Employee Stock Ownership Plan. Upskilling programmes like PRINCE2 and BELS, sponsored Executive MBA programmes from reputed institutes like IIM Calcutta, an offsite training programme termed LEAP etc. provide learning opportunities. The company also expertly tackled the pandemic by achieving a record hiring of 35% in a time when other companies were resorting to mass layoffs.
Sharad Mittal, CEO thanked the HRD Congress for the award and said, ‘I am humbled and grateful for this award, not just on behalf of Crimson as a company but for each and every Crimsonite- past, present and future. When Crimson started out in 2005, it was just three people. Since then, our family has grown to more than 2,000 members all over the world. Yes, business numbers are important, but we have another motivator that drives us as a company everyday- every Crimsonite should wake up excited for work, and considering all the time zones our employees belong to, we are able to achieve this round-the-clock! Thank you HRD Congress for this honour and we promise to push every Crimsonite towards realising their full potential, not just as an employee of the company, but as a human beings.’
The award ceremony took place on 23rd March at Taj Land’s End, Mumbai. Ms. Sonali Anubhavne, the Asst. Vice-President of Business Management and Mr. Rajiv Shirke, Vice-President, Global Operations were present at the ceremony to receive the award on behalf of every Crimsonite.
